The brides are given a bag with some goodies and a “Passport” that she gives to each vendor to sign as she goes around the show and then when she’s done it goes into a bowl for a drawing at the end of each day. I love this idea because not only because brides have the chance at some awesome gifts, but because it really lets the brides and vendors talk so I can learn more about them. One bride is a missionary to Kenya where she will be getting married. Another is from Spain and is going back for her wedding. I also met Kirsten, the creator of French Underground, a group that meets every Wednesday evening at Coffee Underground to practice their French speaking skills, a group I hope to participate in this summer. Then there was a group of 3 brides that are all marrying into each other’s family, all in the same month, and 2 the same day- a double wedding! I mean at a normal bridal show I may never have found out such cool details from these brides.
