The craftsmanship and elegance of the Lusso Cartella Luxury iPad case will lure you in, but unfortunately, the case has some drawbacks that make its $199 price tag hard to swallow.

When I first received the Lusso Cartella Luxury iPad case, I was absolutely blown away. The presentation of the thing is about as classy as you’re going to find in the world of iPad cases. The case itself comes in a beautiful box, wrapped in a sheath which protects the cases beautiful, hand-crafted leather. The company uses the word ‘luxurious’ to describe its cases  and it’s dead-on in its assessment.

This is the other half of the Christmas present that the Fleur-de-’skine book was with. I sort of expected my brother-in-law to use this one, and my sister-in-law to use the moleskine, but now that I think about it I never actually asked… and technically Carl only had her name in the gift exchange draw. (Handmade stuff is outside the restrictions.)

Anyway,this little guy is a limp leather binding, wrapped with a pen-loop closure, exposed longstitch (somewhere I have a picture of the spine too), 5.5″ x 4″, with 192 pages (96 leaves) of the same 32# stock. In other words, also moleskine-sized except for the width.
