I am doing floating candles in martini glasses, (trying to convince fiance I need mirrors underneath)
and small glass heart tea lights.
I was thinking of doing personalized matches and notebooks (look like a matchbook)

Can't use candles in plastic, you're right. Go for the cute candy. If you have enough time to order them, go to the M&M website and order M&M's in the bride's wedding colors with hers and her future hubby's names on them fill the cups with those.
