Military cuff links?

My grandfather was in WW 1. I found what appears to be cuff links. Looks like they are made of copper. Oval on one end but can't make out the design. The other end is just a small ball. All one piece. Could these be old military cufflinks

Yes they are my grandfather gave me his a long time ago and a still have them.

thats a good question you might want to take them somewhere and have em looked at because they could just end up being part of a uniform or something but who knows
