042/365 - What Have I Got In My Pockets?

The odds are pretty good that the answer to that question includes this Victorinox Swiss Army knife. I've been carrying around some small utility knife in my pocket since I was a kid (back when a kid carrying a pocketknife wasn't cause for immediate expulsion from school), and this is the...

How old do you have to be to buy a pocketknife in Qatar?

I live in Qatar (I'm not a local though) and I wanna get a pocketknife for my dad's birthday. I'm 14--will they let me buy one? Or what age do I need to be to buy one?

I don't know, so just in case why don't you go with your mum or uncles/aunties

Best way to sharpen a small pocketknife ?

What can I use to sharpen a real small and very very dull pocketknife?

I was thinking of a sharpening stone, but any other cheap or better product I can use or any good ordinary item that a person would have in their home to sharpen it.

I have had success using the edge and sides of a terra cotta flowerpot . use the pot the same as you would a sharpening stone. I discovered this while trying to clean mineral deposits off an old pot.

The following website will probably give you enough instructions to help you sharpen your pocketknife

Is it okay to send a pocketknife through the mail?

I would like to send my uncle a small pocketknife as a gift, and was just wondering if it was okay to do that through the mail, I would just put it into a bubble mailer, or if its illegal.
Oh I'm American if that matters... I just saw someone complaining

Edit...

It depends:

A pocketknife is probably ok because it doesn't present a danger while it's being mailed. 443.1 would imply it's permissible so long as it's closed.

Insult leads pocketknife-wielding dad to slash son in face, police say

A domestic dispute in York City turned bloody last week when a Manchester-area man cut his adult son in the face with a pocketknife, police allege.

Steve Franklin Rhine, 47, of 260 Bowers Bridge Road in Conewago Township, remains in York County Prison on $80,000 bail, charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and possession of a marijuana pipe.

His son, 29-year-old Stephen Codori of Dallas Street in the city, was treated at Memorial Hospital. Police said the wound was not life-threatening.

Man Stabs Mountain Lion with Pocket Knife to Save Son | Wend Blog

Jason Hobbs, like many of us, owns a pocket knife. But unlike you and me, Hobbs has within the week plunged his miniature blade into the muscular chest of an aggressive mountain lion. I guess when you turn around to see a gigantic cat dragging your six-year-old son by his face into the underbrush you have to use what you’ve got.

Here’s how it went down:

Hobbs and Kristi Harris took their son, River, on a family vacation to Big Bend National Park over the weekend. They’d hoped to go camping but opted out after bumping into another family on the trail who informed them that they were being harassed by an aggressive mountain lion. Instead, they decided to rent a room.
