The feud between the owners of Meyers Lake and the club that operates the docks and fishing pier there has spilled over to an annual event for children with mental and physical disabilities.
But the conflict won’t keep the kids from getting their fishing lines wet.
The Meyers Lake Sportsman’s Club and The Fish Dock, an offshoot of the club that managed the lake and ran a dock and fishing pier, filed a lawsuit in July after the Meyers Lake Preserve, owners of the lake, terminated negotiations on a new agreement and told the club to remove the docks and fishing piers on preserve property.
