The Wedding | Life, Liberty Autos, and the Pursuit of Happiness

I wish this were a story about my wedding, which was a blast. Sure, there were plenty of embarassing moments, but they’re a necessary component of any good wedding. It just shows people were having a good time. No, this is the story of the worst wedding in Liberty history.
Let’s call the bride Bertha. So in 2009, Bertha was about 20 and going out with a 30+ year old divorcé with two children. Let’s call him Bruno. Her parents were not thrilled with the match; however, Bertha was totally smitten. Bruno’s ex-wife even warned Bertha that Bruno would never hold a job and was pretty much a loser. Nothing deterred the happy couple; they decided that they would go to the courthouse and get married. Bertha’s parents softened a bit and agreed to a small wedding. One interesting fact about Bertha is that she lived her entire life, up to adulthood, imagining that her family was rich. I’m not sure how she became convinced of this illusion since they don’t exactly live in the lap of luxury. Needless to say, Bertha has some entitlement issues.
